New taxation to purchase a land in Italy
On the purchase of a land there is a registration tax (imposta di registro) as well as the Cadastral and Land Registry taxes (imposte Ipotecarie e Catastali). VAT is due only when purchasing a bulding plot from a company. The payment of such taxes is at the expense of the buyer.
