Property Description

The house is situated in Trivento, close to the cathedral and the ancient elegant side of the village. The house is a unit part of an ancient stone building dated back to the eighteenth century.

The house is composed by three floors. On ground floor level there are two large rooms with stone walls, vaulted ceilings and independent doors, that used to be shops. These two large rooms could be converted into two independent guest rooms.

The first floor is composed by a large dining room / sitting room with fireplace, original cotto tiles and character details. This room opens on a little terrace. The characteristic cooking area is separated from the living room by a thin partition wall that could easily be removed to achieve a large living space. On this same floor we also find two double bedrooms and a large bathroom. This floor avails of central heating system.

On the top floor we find a characteristic attic room with circular shape, exposed wooden beams and four windows. This room provides an extra bedroom or a sitting room. This room needs renovation. Adjacent to it there is another attic room that could be used as an office space or converted into a roof terrace.

The house also avails of a cellar used as a storage space.

Perched on a hill, above the valleys of Molise, Trivento is a small town with 4,700 inhabitants, in the province of Campobasso. The story of Trivento goes centuries before the foundation of Rome. The first nucleus, known as Terventum, was inhabited by the Samnites, and colonized by the Romans after the Samnite wars in the III century a. C.
